Vintage Fez Embroidery Tablerunner
History: Traditionally the woman will give her parents in law Fez Embroidery textiles, like pillow cases, or other domestic furnishing. This style, that is typical for the Fez region is monochromatic and like many other regional Moroccan embroideries, shows Hispano Mooresque influence. Design elements are often abstracted florals and geometrics. Fez Embroidery style is an intricate hand-embroidery, that is executed in a counted thread technique such as reversible double running stitch, stem stitch, and back stitch to create highly complex reversible embroidered patterns.
